How things can change in one day...

Life can be taken away so easily nowadays.

As the build up gets more stressful/intense/frustrating to our '800 hour' deadline, I was reminded today how small that is in comparison to whole value of being alive.

Just tells me to live for everyday and work so hard for everything. If you love someone, then tell them, because you don't know if that was the last opportunity too, living with regrets is not living.
And thank the people that help you, the ones that change your normal everyday life to something worth living for and remind them all the time how much you appreciate them.

Ermmm, yeah.... studio??

Everyone moans about how much work they have to do... our 800 hours practical due in a few weeks after easter, but where the hell are you?!? Granted, that USED to be me, now I have turned things around (as Kay and myself say!) and am determined to get decent grades. So stop moaning about work loads, when it is your own fault...if you're not bloody prepared to do something about it!

Sketchbook work...

I feel a bit girly today and love these...

Beauty

Your lips, your eyes, your soul
Are like a work of art,
The most creative thing of all
Is your beautiful heart.

If you were a painting,
No colours could express
The beauty deep inside you,
A rainbow, nothing less.

If you were a sculpture
The clay could hardly make
Your figure of an angel
Without one mistake.

If you were a euphony
No choir could really sing
All the beautiful music
Your eyes could possibly bring.

So here I am, an artist,
With inspiration beyond belief
But to capture such rare beauty,
I'd have to be a thief.

A Wish

I lie on the ground,
and stare into space,
the stars start to move,
into the shape of your face.

I see you there now,
looking down at me,
with that cute little smile,
that I like to see.

You say "close your eyes",
"tell me what you see",
I see only two people,
just you and me.

We're walking the shoreline,
with our feet getting wet,
the horizon turns pink,
as the sun starts to set.

We make love through the night,
on that white sandy shore,
then I hold you while thinking,
I could want nothing more.

Oh I wish I could be,
in that one special place,
as I lie on the ground,
and I stare into space...

Life Right Now

Life has never been so good as it is right now!... Yes, Loser this sounds like your post but I completely agree lol.

I've never taken advantage of the Uni life until the last 2-3 months, and I don't mean just going out on the piss! For the first time in 18 months, I feel 110% settled here and that is down to certain people becoming closer to me, and they will never know how much I appreciate that! Since Xmas, I have done more practical work then I have ever done since being here. And I bloody love it! More determined then ever to get to graduation day with a good mark, and to send my Dad a message for the first time in years, saying 'I did it without you'... and i can not wait until that day.

Until then, I am going to work my arse off, enjoy being here with some of the amazing people I have met, who get me through everyday! xxx

I heart Photography

My Dad is a Photographer so I have grown up around all kinds of cameras! It has also become a passion of mine, however it is more of a hobby now when I go away, I need to start doing my photography work in my own art work.

A while ago, a friend of mine from home asked me to draw him, so I did...

Artists that are inspiring me

1. Gerhard Richter

Self directed Project this year

This year I decided to look at the coastlines of the world, I started using the beautiful tropical colours to create paintings (like some of the above) but then got bored as it had no meaning. Using the basis of this quotation 'it is seen as a thing of natural beauty, but yet as you get closer, you begin to notice all the imperfections.' Like; problems only caused by humans, pollution, rubbish, urbanization etc... This has led to where I am now of creating paintings, where if you stand back from them, they are an abstract stunning, classic beach scene, as you look closer, you notice the layering of the imperfections like rubbish and text incorporated into it. (some of the above are sections of paintings with this narrative)

Day one...

Everyone tells me to do a blog and I never have, but recently meeting one person who's blog I look at regularly has inspired me to start my own. Although I have no pics at the moment of my work. Give me time, but here we go...
