My new love... Painting on Silk

After doing my mark making on tracing paper, someone suggested that I tried stretching silk.

As it looked similar to tracing paper and gave the same effect. I experimented with it this morning, coating it in a sealant before hand so it had a translucent look, this was the piece I made. Visually it links to my processed work and I absolutely love it, I may even show it alongside on others for Degree Show.

4. I made a prototype with my pattern design for a possible light box idea, the white space will be cut out of wood or metal, for the light to shine through frosted glass.
